We have observed last year on our research that most of the experiments were conducted in the cleanrooms. The cleanrooms are basically those environments that have pollutant free settings and atmospheres. Many of us also required cleanroom wipes  when we were conducting the experiments. The experiments were new to us as it was our first time to get exposed to manufacturing of semi-conductors. I personally noticed few things over there as well, and inquired from my supervisor about those things. The first one on the line was the different kind of furniture, which was known as cleanroom furniture. As per my supervisor, the furniture is easy to maintain and clean apart from the fact that it also produces very less particles as compared to the others. To me and my friends, that was something really interesting and totally new to experience.

We were all wearing the cleanroom suits as we were not allowed to enter the environment with that. We had cleanroom wipes with us as well that we used quite often. The cleanroom had a system that managed the moisture and set it low. As we were wearing the cleanroom shoes, which were fairly different in shape and design, that looked kind of unusual to us. These shoes are strictly meant for wearing in the cleanroom, one is not allowed to enter the cleanroom without them. They have flat soles that are not slippery as well as they do not make sounds as well.

It was undoubtedly a great experience of lifetime to spend in a cleanroom. An environment which is free from contamination and nothing is allowed there that is non-sterilized. Things like paper and pen were also not allowed there. What I still can remember clearly is the air that entered in the cleanroom that was free from the dust particles and all kinds of germs, to keep the atmosphere cool, clean and pollution free. The cleanroom workers are always there to help the individuals that are new to the environment, so never feel shy or uneasy to ask anything from anyone. It is always better to ask from someone than to make a blunder at such an environment.
